We're Live and We're Just Getting Started.

First off, a giant thank you.

It's been a journey getting here, but we're still writing the first act. We've got a long way to go.

But before we set out on our "call to adventure" and approach Act 2, I want to take a moment to express some gratitude and thanks to everyone who has helped us along the way.

First, to my family who not only inspired Mentmii but who gave me the support and courage to see this thing to fruition. Without you, nothing is possible and with you, everything is.

To our friends and trusted advisors, thank you for your belief in the idea and constant encouragement, advice and even the hard truths, especially the hard truths.

To our production partners who stuck with us to make this happen on a bootstrapped budget, we truly could not have done this without you.

So why Mentmii?

Lately, it seems as if a day doesn’t pass without hearing about the latest innovation in artificial intelligence and rightfully so. AI will change the world as we know it.

But while the world works towards sentience and creating mirrored universes, we must protect a vital aspect of our existing world that is at jeopardy of becoming extinct — our children’s physical connections to their cohorts and the community that surrounds them.

And as we've learned from the Surgeon General and other medical specialists, we're in a very critical juncture when it comes to crossroads of social media and technology and our kids mental health and well-being.

And that's where we come in. Mentmii exists for one reason: to foster positive social connections between the youth in our communities. Full stop.

We're going to make mistakes.

I mentioned hard truths. One of which is knowing that this site will never be perfect (as much as it pains the creative perfectionist within). We're going to make mistakes. Things will go wrong. But that's okay. That's life and we will continue on. My promise to you is that we're always going to try and make it right.

My hope is that you will stick with us, through our growing pains, and gaffes, and missteps. Because if you do, I truly believe that the power of the community-first connections we're building can and will change the world.

So I sincerely hope you join us in our mission to make this orbiting rock in sky just a little bit better.  Because after all, better youth starts with you.

Best,

Mark
